Sweet Baked Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1½ lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • Optional: ¼ cup dried cranberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and brown sugar.
  3. Add Brussels sprouts and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Roast 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until caramelized and crispy on the edges.
  6. In the last 5 minutes, sprinkle nuts and/or cranberries over the top if using.
  7. Serve hot.
