Popovers

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • butter (for serving)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375* F
  2. Grease 8 deep muffin cups
  3. Place muffin tin on a baking sheet to catch any overflow
  4. In a large mixing bowl beat eggs until frothy
  5. Beat in milk and butter
  6. Beat in flour
  7. Beat in salt
  8. Pour into muffin cups (3/4 full)
  9. Bake 60 minutes
  10. Make a small slit in each to release steam, bake 10 more minutes
  11. Serve hot
