Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 overripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5 metal loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas. Stir in melted butter.
  3. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  4. Stir in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

Storage: Room temperature up to 4 days. Freeze up to 3 months.
